About / Reviews

I am not a regular "Yelper", which will make the regulars not believe my review maybe? Still, While I've used Yelp a lot for restaurant recs and such, I've never felt a COMPULSION to really get on here and say "hey, you gotta go try this thing here..."Until now. I have to also admit, I had no idea whether I was talking to Randy or Aaron, but all the guys down there were incredibly nice, tried to fit everything to my schedule (picking me up and dropping me off well after their official shuttle time). It took them a while to get to my car (I mean, you can't do them all at once and actually fix anything, right?), but when they did they had my problem nailed in probably 20 minutes, fixed in an hour, and I was charged parts and one hour's labor... This wasn't something like a blown fuse or anything... My car had been running really unhappily for a few weeks, and now it's smooth as silk, and really a blast to drive again. If they had done just that, for a fair price, I'd probably recommend them to whoever ASKED me. But they had to go and be REALLY NICE all the time, ALWAYS offer to help me out without upselling, and offered free rides to/from the city, and wireless internet while I was in the garage to catch up on work. So, here I am, not being terribly descriptive about my issue - honestly, I don't think it's that important. If you car needs fixing, these are the guys. JUST GO HERE, tell them what's up, and they will help you out in a way that makes you certain you're not being scammed somehow. If you can find another mechanic/dealer/whatever that's car-related in the bay area, please let me know (can't hurt to have a backup). But, in the meantime, man, just use these guys. They are the greatest!(btw - I live in the East Bay, and while it's kind of a pain to drive all that way, it was WELL worth it)

What can I say, not since Batman & Robin has there been a more dynamic duo than Aaron & Randy. I mean these guys need capes or light sabers, or something that makes a "pop" or "bang" sound.I have been taking my car here for almost three years now and these guys shred the service and pricing of Royal Motors. It's not even close. They do as they say there are going to do and fix what needs to be fixed. No "extra" charges. No "hidden" costs. No "Do you mind if we keep your car an extra couple of days." No "We thought it was going to be $500 but it looks like it may be closer to $2500." No, "The flex capacitor is not under warranty." No, "Do these jeans make my ass look big." Oh wait, that was another review. Anyways, you get the idea.Just fast, friendly service and a good sense of humor in addition. Plus free drop-off and pick-up service. I mean what more can you ask for?

Fixed my problem car that no one else could. Randy is super friendly, mildly attractive, and even worked with me on the pricing. The most honest shop I have ever been to. They don't "over recommend" that you fix things that aren't broken and they'll even take you where you need to go. Same price labor as the dealer, however advanced provides much better service and they actually fix what they get paid for. Well worth the money

I'm a TDI driver and these guys are diesel masters. same story as all the other reviews: straightforward, honest, never recommending unnecessary work and nice guys to boot. the shuttle is great as they are located in the mysterious nether reaches of Mission. I even had an experience where a new part they installed failed and before I could even get upset they had it towed, fixed and back on the road at no expense and as little stress as is humanly possible. a veritable pit crew.

5 Star car repair. Honesty. Good Advice. Not out to rip you off, but make sure your car is at its best. I frankly can't say that I have ever had a better service experience, ANYWHERE -- especially for the price and with free pick up and drop off service! THESE GUYS ROCK. If you have either an Audi or a VW and you need anything at all -- RUN, don't walk and you'll be glad you did. My next Audi will get babied here as well.

I really like my car. My car really likes this place. It comes here for therapy: things like harsh and occasionally missing voice, strong attachment to driver side rear seat passenger and then separation anxiety that manifests itself in massive hysteria and not letting go of the said passenger, tender front paws, bruises from nasty rest stop neighbors, and slaving for an owner like me result in needing of a therapist attention and a day in a spa once in a while. This car spa is the favorite one for my car. My car actually likes it so much here it will never go anywhere else. I know that if I try, it will throw a tantrum and break a paw. The therapists seem to really try to help my car and keep it mentally sound. I don't know what they say to it while it is here, but whatever it is - it seems to work wonders. I spent relatively a lot of money here, but I do not feel a tiny bit bad about that, which is a great indicator that its definitely worth it. The little shuttle van is like a crazy roller coaster ride to downtown for me.

This is the place to get your Audi or VW fixed...hands down!! I've always seemed to find the straight-forward, best-priced mechanics for my VW's or Audi's whether I was in Maine, Colorado or Florida and these are the guys here in California.I had a '96 A4 (150k miles) which they helped me keep in tip-tip condition till I sold it a week ago......and the mechanic, at this other garage that was checking it out for my buyer, said that it was in excellent running condition. My A4 is gone due to long distance driving, fuel prices and gas mileage, but Aaron and Randy steered me in the right direction again and I bought an '04 VW Jetta TDI and had them check it out first. 40+ mpg and loving it.When my wife was looking for a car, she wanted a Subaru, but ended up not liking the ride of the Outbacks and Forresters, so I told her to test drive an Audi for herself and she fell in love with a '01 A6 Avant. We sold her old Isuzu Rodeo and now this awesome All Wheel Drive Audi gets us safely back and forth to Tahoe many weekends in the winter.I will always buy a VW or Audi in order to keep bringing my business to these guys. You won't regret it.

Aaron and Randy made me laugh and fixed my car without breaking my bank! I couldn't ask for more.

Friendly, great service. Competitive prices (not cheap), but I don't feel cheated. The guys are very knowledgefully. Door to door transportation too!!! Would choose Advanced over the dealer anyday.

Found these guys through Yelp, after my week of Royal Motors.Royal fought like crazy to make me pay for broken window regulators, even though it's a warranty repair. They also replaced my brake light switch - under recall. Classically, they screwed it up - EPC light on the way home.Called up Erin, he cleared up the warning light, refused to let me pay him, then said if it comes back on, take it back to Royal. Unfortunately, I've got to do that, but the side benefit? I found these guys.
