What a happy place to take my car! The people that worked there were friendly, honest, and didn't even want to look at the estimated cost of the work that Royal Motors was about to charge (outrageous)! They looked at the car and gave us their own estimate (at almost 1/2 the cost of Royals). They were professional and fixed my car.The end result...happy car= happy Dara= happy husband. the end.

Hands down one of the best Audi shops I have ever used. They were fast, efficient, and had my coil packs changed within 24 hours after I got my car towed to them. Well done. Well done indeed. I just moved to the Bay and I know my Audi likes its new doctors.

I LOVE Advanced Audi Volkswagen Service!Randy and his team of mechanics are like SURGEONS and they treat my 1999 Volkswagen Beetle like a real baby! I have been their customer for over a year and they consistently:* charge VERY reasonable prices. One time I went to the Volkswagen dealership in Redwood City to mount my license plate and bracket onto the front of my Beetle. The guy tried to charge me $150! I said "no way jose" and went to Advanced Audi - - they did it for $30!! I love these guys!* Advanced Audi's free pick-up/ drop-off ride service is AWESOME - - I don't have to worry about trying to bum a ride in the middle of the workday from my friends or roommates,* patiently explain my car's mechanical problems in detail,* promptly return all of my phone calls,* keep me updated with progress reports,* are well-stocked with supplies (like coolant and tail lights),* are organized, polite and courteous - - Advanced Audi is the BEST in customer service!!!A big THANK YOU to Randy and his amazing crew. =)~Danica

YAFSR. I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. I work in Palo Alto and live here in the City, so I've got quite a few choices for service on my 2004 A4. When trying to get an annoying noise diagnosed and fixed, a couple other Audi/VW mechanics couldn't even be arsed to get out of their chairs to take a listen--just commit a day to come in.When I went to Advanced, Randy promptly took my car on a testdrive, diagnosed the problem, and made me an appointment. The day of the fix was flawless, as well. Dropped the car off in the morning, used their free shuttle service to get home, and picked my car up late in the afternoon--they even stuck around for a bit when I ended up being late. Cost was what I expected and they even drew me diagrams of what happened. All around aces.

People from another planet. Once they didn't want to work on my Beetle because it would have been useless. So, you can get easily 2-3 grands for the labor but you suggest me to trade in the car ? Six stars. Now, bought the second Beetle and had it checked (compression, oil pressure, suspension, transmission.....normally a 100$ value), it comes out that the 40K service wasn't done at all (and I could have guessed it just for the dogwetness coming out the air filter). So, we schedule the job for the week after and I ask: how much do I owe you today? No probs, pay me next week. Yes, people from another world. I love VW gearheads. Should I mention the funny rides with their shuttles in the morning? Just added value, a zippy Vanagon ride.

I got tired of paying ridiculous amounts for basic services at the SF VW dealer. Thankfully I came across these guys a few months back and have now visited Advanced 3 times (2 oil changes and my 20K service). These guys are honest and actually use Mobil 1 oil - which meets the standards in the VW owners manual - unlike the dealerships that use castrol ?!? Sometimes I have to wait a week for an appointment but not a big deal and definitely worth it !

Yes, this place is getting another five star review. And damn it, it's well deserved too. I used to go to the Dealers that shall not be named (cough**ROYAL MOTORS**cough) and always left feeling gypped or ignored AND that I paid inflated prices for service. But these guys are great. Not only does Randy and co run a tight operation, but he is one of the most pleasant, helpful and fair guys to talk to about the car . Case in point, The guys doing my smog check told me I should get my serpentine belt looked at fast, but had no time to do it.. I called up Randy last week and even though he said he was booked for a week, he squeezed me in on emergency basis cause he said I shouldn't be driving around on a cracked belt. The door-to-door shuttle service with Boris is great too. That's service, people. And when I was leaving, Randy said my name correctly and used it when saying goodbye. For that, he gets a star plus. It may seem silly, but that personal touch is great.

The best VW mechanic in the city. Randy and his partners are very knowledgable, no bs, they fix your car and try to make it less expensive. As a plus, they have a shuttle service to the city. If you have a vw, this is a no brainer.

I have had my 99 Audi A4 serviced here twice. This is the most professional and efficient car repair shop I have ever dealt with. They seem very knowledgeable about Audis and the common issues/problems. The pricing is fair and straightfoward. Randy helped me get my car evaluated and fixed in less than 45 minutes. I highly recommend AAVS to all of my friends who own Audis or VWs. Now if only I could find a BMW shop that was 1/2 as good.

cool dudes, great service. They know their stuff. Being a car nut and very comfortable installing or replacing anything in a car (engine swaps, turbo installs, suspension upgrades, etc...), they were very receptive to my diagnosis on my non functioning alternator. I could have done it myself, but german cars are notorious for linking everything into the ecu and I didn't want to mess anything up. Japanese cars are so easy to work on unlike their german counterparts which are very difficult sometimes. But I didn't want to take any chances. Although it took a little while for them to fix my car, I commend them for the quality.
