Audi owner!This is the place to go to if you want anything to do to you car. They are honest and great people who wont overcharge and will diagnos your car for free and get you free washer fluid and coolant as well. yup!I got them all for FREE plus they told me my TT is in perfect condition, just need to do oil change every 3 months so that it will purr like a kitty cat all the time.Awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! and yeah, pleaseeeeee dont go to Royal (audi dealership) for service under any circumstances. they gonna screw you up for real. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! they screwed me up last time. told me gonna put washer fluid but they didnt. told me they could replace my rear light if I just come in, but they couldnt and actually had to make appt to replace my rear light bulb. its just a bulb. whats so hard about changing that? they got all the tools and techniques and all. they should be able to do that in like 10 sec with eyes wide shut.! grrrrrrrrrrrr royally incompetent !

Gidget has been my best friend since I was 17 years old. She's cute as a button, has been with me through thick and thin and has gotten me out of some truly sticky situations but MAN is she a troublesome, high maintenance, tempermental bitch. I should probably mention that Gidget happens to be a purple 2001 VW New Beetle. When the check engine light came on while I was driving, I thought that Gidget was going to explode and panicked. The trunk latch had already stopped working and this just reaffirmed that the shit was starting to hit the fan. After reading reviews on Yelp, I promptly called up Advanced and Randy picked up within one ring and told me that though he had no appointments for a few weeks, he'd be more than happy to hook the car up to his computer to see if the problem was serious enough the day that I called him. The last time I took my car to a dealer, they told me that in order to investigate and diagnose each problem, they would charge me $135 for each per glitch NOT including the actual fixing of the problems.Randy analyzed Gidget and pinpointed the problem for free and scheduled an appointment as early as he could and turned the engine light off for me so I could drive in relative peace. I brought the car back to them a few weeks later and within a few hours, everything was taken care of for half of what I thought I was going to have to pay. They were so helpful and witty and great to work with and I am so happy that I've finally found a VW repair shop that I can trust.

Me likey. My passat was acting funny after being in the cold for a few days and not driven. When I cranked my car it shook and the engine malfunction light came on. Anyway, I took the car to Advanced this morning and they were nice enough to provide a diagnostic test at no charge. My car ran fine, but the light was still on and I explained this to them. They said the car should be fine, they cleared the mis-signals and said if it comes back on to bring it in and they will take a more detailed look at it. I know if I had brought the car to the VW dealer, I would have had to leave it all day, not wait the 10 minutes that I did at Advanced and pay a couple hundred bucks. SO, when I need my 80K service, guess where I'm going?!?!!

Professional, honest, fairly priced, knowledgeable, competent mechanics who perform service in a timely fashion, keep you updated, and have a sense of humor. I have a 2000 VW GTI GLX that I have taken there two or three times since I moved to SF, and I have been well-treated every time. They were recommended by a friend who has a 2001 Jetta; both of us have had experiences where we called in the morning with a problem, were told to come in that day, and weren't charged for a very quick fix or tweak. I particularly appreciate the lack of upsell and the amount of information they give me about the problems they're working on.They have a shuttle for mornings, but iirc you have to find your own way back. The T-Third swings right by there, so it's easy to get to via MUNI. For one major series of repairs, they had to schedule me a few weeks out, but as mentioned above, they seem happy to take a quick look at your car the day you call them with an issue if they think it is a no-brainer to fix.

I'm not going to waste a lot of time writing this review because this is so straight forward. If you have an Audi, Advanced is the only place to go. I've had great experiences every time I have gone there, and as noted in other reviews they provide honest service with solid prices. I won't be taking my ride to any other place in the city.....

Check engine light came on, took it in there, the problem wasn't serious enough to warrant replacing the part, so he turned the light off for me. Also, it cost me $0. Dudes earned a repeat customer.

Went in there with my car prepared to be cleaned out for my timing belt/water pump/ lightweight pulley install, but they ended up being cheaper than anyone in the area. Awesome service, got my car back on time even though I had additional work done to it after having them call me with a few minor things that needed attention.

Amazing shop. Knowledgeable, honest, quick, friendly staff. I have been going there for 4+ years and have referred at least 10 people to get all their Audi/VW maintenance & repairs here.There has been a slight drop in customer service since they enlarged and updated their space, but they are still far and above anyone else.

What else can be said....Amazing. They are fast, don't overcharge and do an excellent job. The shuttle service to and from is another added bonus.

These guys are great. Honest with fair prices. They even told me that I shouldn't have them replace my broken clutch because I was having other work done in another week (new turbos) and it would make more sense to have my clutch replaced (by someone else) at the same time as that work since there would be a lot of duplicate labor.
