Thank you fellow Yelpers for leading me here. These guys are AWESOME!I was clueless about why my beetle kept stopping, and with one phone call they advised it is probably the alternator, and although they are booked solid they could probably squeeze me in the next day. Ends up they did squeeze me in, and with a brand new alternator the beetle is running fine now. Jason even stayed 15 min late on a friday night after closing to wait for me and the taxi cab to arrive to collect said beetle. I tried to give them a tip for their excellent service, but they refused the tip, and then took $15 off the total bill to cover my taxi fare! Huge points for Jason on front desk, who is very friendly and cute to boot!I can't recommend these guys enough, I'll definitely be going back here soon to get my beetle serviced.

I had to take down my previous glowing review because I was paranoid about Royal Motors reading it. I had semi-dissed them and then, lo and behold, my 2001 Audi needs some random part that I can only get from them. Sigh. Bad timing, as my 2001 Audi then needed repairs Royal wanted to do. Their estimate was too high, so I said I would think about it and took it to Advanced the next day. Randy and his crew completed the repairs (which were extensive) with such amazing customer service and professionalism that I'm just going to keep it at that. Simply the best around. Thank you!

My car is back on the road again, thanks to VW/Audi gurus Randy & crew @ Advanced Autowerks. Very fair prices, excellent work & more importantly, follow-through *AFTER* the service. Can an auto repair shop get any better?!?! These guys certainly set the bar very high.

These guys rock, completely no-nonsense, straightforward, and you can tell they love what they do. WHY WHY WHY did I not find them sooner? I've been suffering through the BS at Royal Motorworks. Royal presented me with a $4k bill that I questioned. Took the car to Randy at AA and low and behold, all I needed was a $300 fix on my brakes. FU Royal. GO TO THIS PLACE AND STAY AWAY FROM ROYAL MOTORS. It ain't cheap to drive a VW, which is ironic because they are (relatively) cheap cars. Anyway I digress...I almost forgot to mention that the guys there are cuuuuute!

These guys are great! I am auto mechanic by trade though I try to avoid working on my wife's TT, so I take it here. My folks came to visit from the east coast and their Allroad was showing a periodic warning light. Randy pulled the codes off the computer and then reassured my nervous dad that the wheels were not going to fall off and they didn't need to extend their stay! My wife thanks you.

To start off.. I read every review carefully because I'm that kind of person. I am utterly and completely skeptical about mechanics, being a single female who doesn't know enough about cars, I have heard and experienced enough horror stories to find nearly all mechanics suspect. That being said. 1. I dropped in without an appointment after a simple phone call to get a check engine light diagnosed. Their diagnosis was accurate and correct, offering a simple, low cost solution (fixing a sensor) over replacing the full thermostat as Royal Motors and two other mechanics had tried doing (thought he unit was fine). 2. They (rightfully) diagnosed my battery as being near dead, saving me from being stranded road side.3. Fixed a very nagging and pain-in-the-ass mildew smell, that was caused by build up of water in the drainage piping that leads from my sunroof to the door jam, by using a razor blade there by saving my health (I had developed asthma from allergy to mildew and mold!!!) Pretty much --these guys have been awesome so far. Granted this shop isn't as cheap as I would like (ok, I'm spoiled .. a good friend was a VW Mechanic before moving to SF), but they are honest, explain things clearly, are conversational and make you feel at home (including offering me a ride home when I unexpectedly had to leave my car). 5 stars for accuracy in diagnosing a problem5 stars in saving me money5 stars in professionalism, customer service, and personal touch5 stars for all around awesome service. I have another appointment next month and will update my review then. So far, so good.

I've been coming here for several years and do trust them (which isn't easy for me to do for anything related to auto services). Finding a good auto shop, as you know, is either a hit or a miss and I know many of us find out and learn the very hard way albeit very expensively. I originally found out Advanced years ago on Yelp (so thanks to all you positive reviewers!). Randy is very professional, friendly, point-blank, honest, and very easy to communicate and work with. You know the adage, "You get what you pay for." They're prices are accurate and the work that they have done on my car excels and surpasses by far the work compared at other subpar shops I'd been to in the past. I've had all types of jobs done on my car by them from oil changes to major work and have not been dissatisfied. One of the owners is now gone (his presence/demeanor stopped me from going there for a while) and it's too bad the free shuttle's been discontinued. All in all, this is a place I highly recommend you go to. This is the shop I'm sticking with. A+ Btw, I can't believe some of these women reviewers, how shallow can you get? As if someone's looks should at all be a factor?!? I could care less if Brad Pitt was working here.

I've brought my Passat in here twice for repairs. They did a great job both times and finished work in about 24 hours. Nice groups of folks and very knowledgeable.

These guys are awesome. Brought our car in because the check engine light was on and it was making a weird whistling sound. The guys refused to take our money because our car was still under warranty. But they hooked the car up to the computer diagnostic system and told us what the fault codes were, just so we would know in advance what was up. Then they sent us off to the dealer (who will definitely not be as cool and ethical). Almost makes us wish our car were out of warranty so we could have the Advanced Autowerks guys do the work. As soon as we've tipped the 50k mark, this is where we'll be going.
