Over the years we have brought our Audi and Mini here for various service/repairs. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and trust worthy. On numerous occasions they turned us back to the dealer for warranty/recall related work we would't have otherwise known about.l The owner is super nice and has personally given my husband a ride home after dropping the car off. We just brought a car under warranty so we won't be seeing them for awhile...but I'd recommend them to friends and family.

My daughter took her VW Jetta deisel in for a diagnosis and repair estimate at Advanced. They accommodated her with quick and friendly service. She took the car to a dealer for a second opinion to do her due diligence. They made the same diagnosis as Advanced but their estate was much higher. My aughter liked the people and service Advanced better and brought it back to do the work. It turned out that they had misquoted the estimate, which should have been several hundred dollars more. But, here's the thing: THEY STOOD BY THEIR QUOTE! And did the job for what they said. You want honest - go to these folks! And the car runs great!

When you've lived in SF long enough, you become accustomed to "financial leakage" where over-paying and being taken advantage of is a normal part of day-to-day life (not that different from other types of leakage, if you know what I mean). In the land of $4 toast, the ticket-happy SFMTA and inflated rent, it's a welcome relief to deal with fair, honest people. Thank you, Advanced Autowerks, for not taking advantage of me when you easily could have. Very easily deserving of 5+ stars.

For the last couple of years I've been using Advanced Autowerks for routine oil changes. This visit it was an oil change and problems with a check engine light and faulty door module. They were able to diagnose and repair both problems and even billed the repairs to my VW extended warranty. All I had to pay was my $100 warranty deductible plus the oil change. Techs are always courteous and know what they are doing.

I cannot say enough good things about these guys. Time after time, my experiences here have been wonderful. Everyone at the shop is friendly, laid-back, honest, and knowledgeable.I had taken my 2007 mini cooper S in to the dealership to have some recalled parts taken care of, and they said they found a head gasket oil leak and some other issues that would be very costly to repair. I brought my car in to Advanced Autowerks for a second opinion. They assessed the leaks and told me that they were not as serious as I had been led to believe by the dealer and will cost a small fraction of the cost to repair them.I'm never taking my Mini anywhere else.

It's true that these guys may be victims of their own success as they were swamped the whole time my car was down there... Phones ringing off the hook...
